The 2021 edition of the E‑MRS Spring Meeting turned into an all-digital event based on our e‑conference platform. The challenge was highly technical : we had to make a huge volume of content and talks virtual in a major scientific event that usually takes place on site.
Applying the e‑conference platform (tailored to meet the needs of the E‑MRS), developing the scientific programme and broadcasting live for four days meant calling on 40 project managers and operators at key4events. We had to roll out the infrastructure and human resources needed to manage and process 15 virtual rooms at once. The result was a high-quality event that went smoothly for its 2,000 or so participants !
